I am an individual, an individual who believes in spreading love, hope & happiness in the parts of the world which I can reach

So, my name is Jonno, I am an, increasingly not so young, adult who lives with a rare muscle wasting condition called Muscular Dystrophy, specifically Limb Girdle type 2B (LGMD2B for short). I was diagnosed not long after my 23rd birthday, having lived a unaffected and unknowing, typically 'normal' life. Now my life is far from normal to most, but I want to continue to make the most of my situation, and in turn, hope to help others along the way.

I have a typical life in many other ways. I hold down a full-time job. I enjoy hobbies and sports which I can currently do from a chair. I also have a loving family. A wife to be and a beautiful and caring daughter to top it of. If I could take one benefit from having this condition, it would be how loving and caring it has made my daughter. Although testing at times as most children are, she is an absolute joy to be around and helps me in so many ways. She will never understand the gratitude I have for her being around.
